Nurture Book Club

A book club for the Soul.

In Partnership with Bookshop.org

A collection of books to connect you to your truth, centre you with your heart, and expand your soul.

I love reading books, and sharing the ones that make me think and feel differently. I mean, it was my love of books and burying myself in libraries that helped me shape and mould the Nurture Map to what it is today.

However, over recent years my readings habits have changed, from books which tell me how I should be thinking. Instead, I now select books which encourage me to think for myself, bring me closer to my own truth and encourage me to follow my own heart. You won’t find any hacks, how-tos or cookie cutters here, just Heart and Soul.

This book club, is about sharing that passion and love of books, both fiction and non-fiction, which provide a unique insight into life. You’ll find a range of books, some of which I read in the creation of the Nurture Map, some of them of read over the years in relation. You will also find books that have inspired me in different ways, too.

Importantly, in partnering with bookshop.org for this book club, it means a number of things. You are purchasing and supporting independent bookshops around the U.K. By using the links on this page, bookshop.org pay extra commission to the bookshop you purchase from, as well myself, of 10%. Nothing is taken off the bookshop, itself, and is paid by bookshop.org.

The Infinite Game
By Simon Sinek.

“Finite perspective says, make money to do good. An infinite perspective on service, however, looks somewhat different. Do good while making money.” - Simon Sinek

This book was the most obvious choice to start this book club with. It expresses the very essence of why I have started this book club and the very idea of the types of books, fiction or non-fiction, I like to share. Books which move you in a different way, and have you feeling and then thinking in new ways.

In The Infinite Game, Simon, eloquently and passionately presents us with a whole new way of approaching our lives, in and out of business. He shares this from his personal knowledge and experience, and sets the tone for the way we can truly lead our lives. Although he shares from his experiences in working with businesses and leadership, specifically, this really is a fantastic book to create new ways in every area of your life.

“The courage to see the infinite game, to see the purpose of business as something more heroic than simply making money, even if it’s unpopular with the finite players around us, is hard. The courage to lead, holds a company and it’s leadership to much higher standards.” - Simon Sinek

Personally, this book has been a revolution to me, partly because it reaffirms the tone I have been setting with my own personal work with the last couple of decades. It also builds on some of those ideas by sharing anecdotes and a deeper understanding, and how I have been supporting others in the business, and lives.
